Action Wipes Review

Note: i received a review sample of Action Wipes after being contacted by their founder @MarthaVan on Twitter, however after testing them I would not hesitate to purchase them for myself, or recommend them to others.

There is no way around it, motocross is a dirty sport. Whether the track is muddy or dry, coming off the track with a dirty, grimy face is commonplace for serious motocross racers. While most riders choose to clean up with water after a moto, the truth is that there are better options available. One of these options is Action Wipes, a fairly new product From Life Elements, Inc. Action Wipes are a revolutionary new wet wipe designed specifically for high intensity athletes made from natural ingredients. I recently tried action wipes after my daily road bike roller rides, and I have loved them so far. Unfortunately, because it is not motocross season, I was unable to test them for motocross use, but I am convinced that they would perform just as well in a motocross setting.

Packaging

Although it may seem like a relatively materialistic concern, the packing of a product not only affects users preconceived notions of the product, but also shows the companies attention to detail when designing their products. I used the 5 pack, and the packing was phenomenal. The plastic was very thick and durable, the logos bright and well designed. The best part was that the bag was re-closable which makes it very convenient to store Action Wipes wherever you may need them. The Zip-lock style bag holds in the moisture of the wipes well and keeps the slightly strong scent contained.

Scent

The scent of the Action Wipes is unique, to say the least. The strong scent of the Action Wipes is from the tea tree and eucalyptus oils that the wipes contain. The scent is very outdoorsy and not exactly something that I would recommend wiping down with before going out to dinner. However, the wipes were designed to be used for motocross, cycling, running, triathlons, etc., and the scent is very acceptable for these outdoor settings. Furthermore, it is much better than body odor, and is a size-able improvement over the smell of traditional wet wipes designed for use on babies.

Fortunately, if the tea tree and eucalyptus does not sound pleasing to you, a few other options are available including Geranium & Lemon Myrtl. I have not tried this scent, however, I am sure that it unique, clean, and crisp smelling, just like the tea tree and Eucalyptus.

The Wipes

The meat and potatoes of a wet wipes product is, obviously, the wipes themselves. Fortunately, Action Wipes do not disappoint in this category. The wipes are huge, Much bigger than normal wipes. This allows them to cover a wide range of body area quickly, and you can also fold them up when you need to concentrate on heavy dirt, grease, or grime. The wipes are very strong, and breathable. One small disadvantage that I found was they seem a little thinner than a washcloth, however, they are definitely thicker than standard wet wipes and because of their size, you can fold them to make them more than thick enough. The wipes are white in color, and there is nothing out of the ordinary with their design except for the fact that they are strong, resilient, and perfect for cleaning up. The best feature of the wipes are, in my opinion, their reusability. Unlike normal wet wipes which are single-use only and disposable, Action Wipes are reusable and machine washable. After washing they still hold their shape perfectly, and suffered no visible damage from the washing. After you wash them, you simply spray them down with the available Sports Spray and they are treated exactly like the original wipes. Or, you can use the washed Action Wipes dry similarly to a paper towel, only stronger.

The cleansing liquid on the wipes is very powerful, despite the fact that it is all natural. It is antiseptic, anti-fungal and anti-inflammatory. This helps to kill the bacteria that builds up in your pores during exercise and leaves you feeling very refreshed. Although not as good as a shower, using Action Wipes after exercise is clearly the next best thing, and they easily cut dirt, sweat, grime and grease from your skin.

Green Technology

It is obvious that our country and our world is quickly transitioning to industries based on green technologies. Not only are these better for our earth, but also better for our bodies. Thankfully, Action Wipes are very green products. The oils used in the wipes are natural, and the materials used to package the wipes are recycled. Life Elements, Inc. is very dedicated to the green mission and put a lot of effort to do good by the earth.

Motocross racers have needed something to clean up at the races for a long time. Water is not nearly sanitary enough, and baby wipes smell bad, and are obviously not the best option. Action Wipes provide riders with a decent smelling, powerfully cleaning, cheap, and convenient method to clean up after motos. I would whole heartedly recommend these to anyone looking for a way to clean up after motocross, running, cycling, or just for use in everyday life.
